Spider Solitaire FAQ
What is Spider Solitaire?
Spider Solitaire is a card game played with two 52-card decks (104 cards). The goal is to build 8 complete suit sequences — each from King down to Ace — and remove them all from the table. Full rules here →
How do you win Spider Solitaire?
You win by completing all 8 suit runs (King to Ace, same suit) and removing them from the tableau. Step-by-step guide →
What’s the difference between 1-suit, 2-suit, and 4-suit?
- 1-suit: All cards are spades. Any descending sequence can be moved as a group. Easiest mode.
- 2-suit: Cards are spades and hearts. Only same-suit sequences can move as a group.
- 4-suit: All four suits in play. Hardest mode — requires careful suit management.
Can I move cards between columns?
Yes — any face-up card can be placed on a face-up card that is exactly one rank higher, regardless of suit. But only a same-suit descending sequence can move as a group.
What happens when I click the stock pile?
One card is dealt face-up to each of the 10 columns. Note: you cannot deal if any column is empty. You get 5 deals per game (50 cards).
Is Spider Solitaire always winnable?
No. Not every dealt game is winnable, especially on 2-suit and 4-suit. Win rates even for experienced players are roughly:
- 1-suit: ~90%+
- 2-suit: ~50–70%
- 4-suit: ~10–30%
What does the score mean?
You start with 500 points. Each move costs 1 point. Each completed suit run adds 100 points. A perfect game on 4-suit with zero wasted moves can score over 1,000.
Is there a limit to undo?
On this site — no. Undo as many times as you like, all the way back to the start of the game.
