How does Spider Solitaire work?

You work with two decks, 104 cards, spread across 10 columns. The mechanics are simple: stack cards in descending order and gather each suit into a King-to-Ace run. Finish a 13-card same-suit run and it clears to a foundation on its own. Collect all eight and you have won. You can drop any card onto one a rank higher regardless of suit, but only same-suit runs move together as a block, which is what makes the game a puzzle. The stock gives you five deals of ten cards when you stall. Suit count sets the difficulty, from forgiving 1-suit to the brutal 4-suit game, which is winnable only about a third of the time with perfect play.
