Can you play Spider Solitaire with one deck?
Not for the standard game. Real Spider Solitaire needs two 52-card decks, 104 cards, because the layout fills 10 columns and still leaves a stock of 50 cards to deal. A single 52-card deck cannot supply that, and it would not let you build eight full King-to-Ace runs. If you only have one deck, you are playing a different variant, usually Spiderette, which deals seven columns like Klondike and works with 52 cards. That is a smaller, faster game with its own feel, not true Spider. Note that “one-suit” Spider does not mean one deck. It still uses both decks, just with every card printed as a spade. Play the full version at 1-suit.
