How to play Spider Solitaire with one suit
One-suit Spider is the friendliest version and the best place to learn. You still get two 52-card decks (104 cards) dealt across 10 columns, but every card is a spade, so suit never blocks you. Because all cards match, any descending group moves as a single unit, which makes long runs easy to shuffle around the board. Build sequences down from King to Ace, clear a full run to a foundation, and clear all eight to win. With no suit friction, win rates top 90 percent, so this mode is about planning columns and emptying spaces rather than fighting the deck. Learn the flow here, then step up in difficulty. Start playing at 1-suit.
