What is the difference between Spider Solitaire and regular Solitaire?

Regular Solitaire usually means Klondike. Klondike uses one 52-card deck across 7 columns, builds by alternating color (red on black), and fills 4 foundations by suit from Ace up. Spider uses two decks (104 cards) across 10 columns and works the opposite way. You build downward, place any card on one rank higher regardless of suit, and aim for 8 foundations, not 4. The catch is that only same-suit runs move as a group or count toward a completed foundation, so mixed sequences slow you down. Spider is generally harder, especially at 2-suit and 4-suit. Klondike leans on the stockpile and foundations. Spider is about untangling long columns into clean same-suit chains.
