Is Spider Solitaire harder than regular Solitaire?
It depends on the suit count. Spider is generally considered harder than Klondike, but only at the tougher settings. 1-suit Spider, where every card is spades, is very forgiving and wins over 90% of the time, so it can feel easier than Klondike for beginners. 4-suit is a different game entirely, with win rates around 6-10%, and it demands real planning. Two decks and 10 columns give you more to manage than Klondike’s single deck, and the same-suit rule for moving and clearing runs adds pressure. If you find Klondike comfortable, start at 1-suit, then work up. The step from 2-suit to 4-suit is where Spider earns its reputation.
